2015 Meisner Financial Literacy Multi-Media Arts Contest

Freshman, Laurel Baker, recently won 3rd place and a $500 award at the 5th Annual Meisner Financial Literacy Multi-Media Arts Contest for her artist statement and work titled "Don't Throw Your Money Out of the Window."

The Financial Literacy Art Contest is a unique opportunity for students to combine their artistic ability with money management. Laurel used one of her favorite art forms to convey increased awareness about money and finances.

She additionally had a chance to read her artist statement with County Treasurer Andy Meisner to the crowd during the award night on Thursday, April 23. Her work will also be displayed at the Treasurer's Office.
